At YGR Trust, our vision is to educate and empower underprivileged children, supporting them until they are gainfully employed. We strive to ensure that the current generation of children living below the poverty line integrates seamlessly into mainstream society.
YGR Trust is dedicated to imparting quality education and fostering all-round development, including skill building. Our mission is to provide avenues for employment that are tailored to each child’s dominant intelligence and strengths, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
Why do we exist?
YGR Trust exists to address the significant educational challenges faced by underprivileged children in Andhra Pradesh. Nearly one million people live in slums, with about one-third of these slum dwellers falling below the poverty line. Most children in these communities are first-generation literates, facing significant barriers to education and personal development. Government schools often provide poor quality education, and rising school fees have led to steep dropouts at primary and secondary levels. The average education level of parents is up to grade 5, typically in Tamil, Telugu, or Kannada medium, limiting their ability to support their children's educational needs. With an average monthly income below Rs. 10,000, families struggle to afford educational expenses. Additionally, the teacher-student ratio in government schools is 1:30, making it difficult for teachers to provide individual attention to each child.

By providing comprehensive support, including scholarships, educational resources, skills development, and job placement assistance, Ygr Trust aim is to break the cycle of poverty and empower underprivileged individuals to realize their full potential. Together, we can create a more inclusive society where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
